About Teacher
I have been a yoga student since my early 20's, whilst living in London with a stressful job and busy lifestyle - so attending yoga classes became my sanctuary so I could catch up with myself and literally breathe…... It was easy to fall in love with yoga because of the many benefits I gained as it started to transform me for the better.
So, a few years later as my interest grew, I started teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY 500 hours teacher training) and started teaching in the late 80’s. I have been teaching ever since, still studying & learning and of course, still practising on a daily basis as my main refuge.
For me, yoga became a way of life, a way of being to accompany me on my life journey which I am grateful for and feel privileged teach and share the teachings.

Teaching Experience
I have taught many hundreds of people over the years in a wide variety of settings here and abroad, including London & Egypt where I lived and Turkey where I led week-long Yoga + Mindfulness retreats.
I now live in West Cumbria and have been tutoring classes, courses/workshops and giving 1to1 yoga therapy sessions since 2002.
Teaching Style
I would say I have a gentle, eclectic and inclusive style of teaching, having been influenced by many great teachers and traditions of both Yoga and Mindfulness - and take all the best bits!
I believe that yoga is not about achieving very advanced postures, in fact yoga postures, ASANA, is only one element of a balanced yoga practice. Its more important how the posture feels for you than how it looks as every body is different - literally!
I encourage everyone to work at their own level and pace, considering yoga experiences, fitness level and how you find yourself today. So I offer different variations / modifications to suit every body, as I approach yoga in a very accessible and non-competitive way. I aim to create a positive & nurturing environment so students can experience their own practice unfold in a relaxed and caring atmosphere.
